Default Anyone Tried Oath Shotting Signet of Weariness?

Just someting small to add to a spirit spammer. Does Signet of Weariness really have a similar range to wards? 9x2x8=144 total energy removal at the beginning of battle.. Or maybe Arcane Mimicry an Echo, and cast Signet of weariness 4 times for 244 total energy removal from the other team(s).

Oath Shot + SoW is a nice thought, but Keystone Signet [elite] would be a better elite choice for mesmers with SoW, considering there is Mantra of Signets and Mantra of Inscriptions for mesmers, and both of those and keystone are all the same attribute, and with them you could throw them out much quicker than with Oath, but if you take your second idea and incorporate it, holy shit. Something like this:

Mantra of Inscriptions, Mantra of Signets, Keystone Signet, Signet of Weariness, Arcane Mimicry, Quickening Zephyr, and Serpents Quickness, 1 other skill.

That would be an uber energy denial build, hard to time and set up though i would assume. Im going to have to try this.

Just tried it out. Oath Shot and Zephyr alone were enough to be spamming it a lot, along with Renewal and a few debilitating shots. One thing nice about Mes is the level 16 dom. That would be one thing to consider. But the ranger armor seems more useful. Keystone signet has a huge recast timer and doesnt synergize with natures renewal/lightning reflexes and it disables your other skills.

Yea you are right, I tried fiddling with it after my post. Turns out Oath Shot is bettter for it. The Mesmer 16 dom only adds 1 more energy to SoW anyway. I ended up using something that looked like this:

Signet of Weariness
Oath Shot
Shame
Distracting Shot
Diversion
Quickening Zephyr
Frozen Soil
Mantra of Signets

If i used Mantra followed by 2 SoWs, Oath, then mantra and 2 more SoW's, i could get about 36 energy damage in 6 seconds. If an ally has Echo, I replace Distracting with Arcane Mimicry and it looked like this:

Mantra > SoW x2 > Echo > Oath > Mantra > SoW x2 > Oath > Mantra > SoW x2, which is about 54 in 11 seconds. If you had to people doing this, that could devastate a team, even spike groups if done right.

Wow, that's actually quite fierce.

Definitely need to be ranger with 7 expertise so your oath shot {E} is feasible.
